As NYU’s first Senior Director for Creative and Brand Experience, I’ve worked for the past 10 years actively managing NYU’s visual identity and brand standards. As a premier global university, NYU has become larger, more diversified, and more active around the world. With this size and complexity, the challenge is to look and sound like a unified institution. To help lead the coordination and consistency of communications, a robust brand identity site was developed to help communicate the vision and goals of the university along with language guidance and visual guidance.
